Stormy Hill Farms was awarded 1st Place Herdsman Award at the 2017 Florida State Fair. Special Herdsman Awards are offered to exhibitors at the Florida State Fair with the purpose of encouraging exhibitors to present more attractive livestock displays. There are several criteria that determines this award: orderliness and cleanliness of service area, stall, pens, animals, and public walkway; Manure Management; courtesy of herdsman and helpers; cooperation with Show using electrical contrivance, or other similar practices that are not recognized as acceptable training, restraint, or animal Officials; promptness in getting animals into show ring; and availability of personnel to furnish information about their exhibit. All breeds will compete for the following awards.
