Hello, Zebu Enthusiasts.
Hope everyone is doing well.
We (Rick Ressler and John Schmidt) want to let you know about the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair being held in Jacksonville, Florida starting Wednesday, November 5th through Sunday, November 16th. Jeanne Yonge, Fair event coordinator contacted Florida State Fair Zebu Show Superintendent Ed Rick this past summer about possibly having Miniature Zebus shown at this fair. This year there will only be an exhibit, which will qualify the breed for showing in November of 2015 if enough interest is generated.
This exhibit required ten head of cattle of different ages, with both sexes represented, for the entire 12-day duration of the fair. Ed contacted us about doing this exhibit and we agreed to do so.
We welcome everyone to attend this fair, to stop by to say, “Hello”, and to see our exhibit. We (Rick and John) will be dividing the time at the exhibit taking care of the cattle and talking with fair attendees. Kathleen & Bobbi will be staying behind to take care of things back home. Rick will be there from Wednesday the 5th through Monday the 10th and John from Tuesday the 11th through Sunday the 16th. If anyone is willing to stay at the booth for an hour or so, that would certainly be appreciated and would give us an occasional break.
